The tall design was meant to fit into tight steamer quarters, and was one of
the few pieces of luggage that would hold a tall stovepipe hat without
crushing it.
Capturing the spirit of a trunk that has been aboard the finest steamers,
this example has been put into service as a practical end table.
Deep storage beneath the hinged lid can hold magazines and books, or a cozy
blanket and pillow. Solid maple hoops with brass hardware for added
strength, made in the classic tradition with reinforced corners and padded
leather side handles. The distressed finishes inside and out complete
the classic look and feel. Choose from Ivory or Black exterior.
Ideal for bedside or chair-side, or anywhere a small surface table with
storage is needed.
