Spirit of St. Louis

A delightful replica of the custom built monoplane that completed the first solo non-stop flight from New York to Paris in 1927, flown by Charles Lindbergh.  Lindbergh instantly became a world-wide hero after landing in Paris, 33 hours and 30 minutes after taking off from Roosevelt Airfield in Garden City (Long Island), New York.   Charles Lindbergh made one final flight in the Spirit of St. Louis, in 1928, flying from St. Louis to Washington D. C. where the aircraft was officially presented to the Smithsonian Institution, where it remains today, now on display at the National Air and Space Museum.   A perfect size for displaying on a desk or shelf, take a peek through the cockpit windows and imagine yourself on board.  An ideal gift for a vintage flight enthusiast.
